TITLE:
Abee Chm Maker Project File Processing Buffer Overflow

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA34514

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/34514/

DESCRIPTION:
Encrypt3d.M!nd has discovered a vulnerability in Abee Chm Maker,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing
of project files (".cmp"). This can be exploited to cause a
stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted project file
defining an overly long "FileName" parameter.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code by
tricking a user into importing and compiling a specially crafted
project file.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.9.5. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Do not process untrusted ".cmp" files.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
